Here are the costs involved and the potential EARNINGS you can expect when you become an instructor.
Initial Costs
- Initial Enrollment Fee: $1,250
- General Liability Insurance: Approximately $2/rider
Included with enrollment
- Instructor Starter Kit

Ongoing Costs
- Program Administration Fee: 20% of gross ticket revenue
- Workshop Materials: Costs for general office supplies like paper, stickers, clipboards, zip ties, name tags, snacks, cups, etc.
Optional Costs
While not mandatory, investing in high-quality equipment can enhance your workshop experience and improve success rates. We will guide you to the best source and pricing for items like:
- Woom Bikes*
- Portable Air Compressor
- Additional L2R Gear (hats, shirts, etc.)
- Agility Cones
- Event Tent
- Folding Table
* Woom bikes are designed for teaching kids to ride. We have industry partners that can offer significant discounts on these bikes. Additionally, instructors have found local partners that will purchase these bikes as a sponsorship. Resources are available to help secure sponsorships.
Earnings Potential
The amount of money you can make depends on the number of workshops you conduct and the size of your classes. Here’s an example to illustrate potential earnings:
- Workshop Fee: $100 per child
- Average Class Size: 5 children
- Number of Workshops per Month: 8
Monthly Revenue Calculation
- Gross Revenue: $100 x 5 children x 8 workshops = $4,000
- Program Administration Fee (20%): $4,000 x 0.20 = $800
- Net Revenue: $4,000 - $800 = $3,200
