The Frog Hop
Kids learn the confident first push-off without panic.
Clearwater kids grow up near the beach paths and Pinellas Trail — they should get to ride them. Learn2Ride teaches children ages 6 and up to ride without training wheels in one 2-hour workshop, the same 4-step method we built in Indiana.
Families from Countryside, Safety Harbor, and the beach communities book us because about 89 percent of first-timers leave pedaling on their own the same day. Groups stay small. You bring a bike that fits and a helmet; we bring the coaching. Spots in Clearwater fill when the weather is good, so grab a date below while it's open.
Clearwater-area venues — exact park or lot is listed on each session
Same Learn2Ride method as Indiana — two hours, small group, waiver at booking.
Group workshops are for kids 6 and up. Under 6? Look at a one-on-one session instead.
Bike that fits, helmet, water. Snacks are provided. No training wheels.
A parent or guardian stays the full 2 hours. Restroom access depends on the venue — read the session notes.
You sign the waiver in the booking popup. Weather and cancel rules are on our policies page.
Kids learn the confident first push-off without panic.
Two feet up, eyes forward, balance found in seconds.
One pedal at a time. Then both. Then they're off.
Mom and dad cry. Kid grins. Saturday's a win.

Upcoming Learn2Ride kids bike workshops in Clearwater, Florida.
Designed for children aged 6 and up, our hands-on, engaging sessions provide the perfect environment for your child to master the art of riding a bike. Whether they're just starting out or need a confidence boost, our experienced instructors are here to guide them every step of the way.
Important Instructions:
✅ Arrival and Bike Info - Please ensure that you arrive on time for the workshop, bringing your child's bike in good working order and a helmet for their safety.
If you feel comfortable removing the training wheels at home, kindly do so before the workshop. We will not be using training wheels at any time during the session.
We have also found higher success with smaller bikes, so if your child has multiple bikes, please bring the smaller one also (even if you think they have outgrown it!).
✅ Snacks - Snacks will be provided during the workshop to keep the participants energized and hydrated throughout the session. Please bring a water bottle if possible. If your child has any specific dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance.
✅ Parent Attendance - Parents are more than welcome to stay and observe the workshop. It can be an exciting and memorable experience for both you and your child as they take their first steps towards riding without training wheels.
If you think your child will learn easier alone (we get it!), please return 90 minutes after the start of the workshop. That is the typical time we see kids taking the first pedal strokes on two wheels and we don't want you to miss it!
⚠️ Restroom Facilities - Please note that there are no restrooms on site. We recommend using the facilities before the workshop begins to avoid any inconvenience.
🚫 Cancellation Policy - We know that plans can change! If you need to reschedule, we are happy to move your child to a future workshop or provide with 24hr advance notice. Read our complete cancellation policy here.
